Formed in 2013, Rock Hearts brings together five seasoned musicians from Southern New England who love to sing and pick bluegrass, old country tunes, and seek out tunes from other genres to “bluegrass-ify,” all the while maintaining a traditional feel. An Official 2021 IBMA Showcase Band, Rock Hearts continues to enjoy national radio and chart activity. They are a sought-after band, recognized for their song selection, original material, audience engagement, and tight harmonies and instrumentation. They are former artists on the 615 Hideaway record label who worked closely with label owner Sammy Passamano in Nashville, TN. Their first independent project, Starry Southern Nights, put them on the national radar. It was recorded at Dark Shadow Studios with owner and engineer Stephen Mougin, and produced by banjo-whiz and DJ, Ned Luberecki. A year later, they released their second project, Wanderlust, which continues to receive outstanding fanfare and radio attention. Their third project, Unfinished Bridges, recorded at the Digital Underground Studios in Greenbriar, TN, with engineer and banjo-great Scott Vestal, is by far the band’s best work yet.Since its release, Unfinished Bridges has experienced tremendous success with the full album and several singles debuting in the Top 10 on national charts.
Here’s what some folks are saying:
“Rock Hearts’ Unfinished Bridges deserves a large audience and copious praise.” Colin Jordan.
“It’s one of the most satisfying recent bluegrass releases and should rank high on any fan of the genre’s must-hear list.” Mark Dreury
“For anyone unfamiliar with this group they are a Powerhouse featuring some of New England’s finest. They bring lots of talent, experience, and a distinctive sound of their own.”— Rick Lang, Singer, Songwriter, Publisher
