NOTE:If the weather does not cooperate, the concert will be held downstairs in the Social Hall of the Wakefield Unitarian Universalist Church (LTC’s usual venue) at 326 Main Street.
Bluegrass band Local Freight features clean harmonies, strong pickin’, and a solid groove. Seasoned musicians John Tibert (mandolin/vocals), Lynne Fountain (bass/vocals), Rich Piccarreto (guitar/vocals) and Brian Prindle (banjo/vocals) bring their varied musical backgrounds together on original songs and bluegrass classics alike, crafting a fresh, original sound, with solid traditional underpinnings.
Common threads entwined to bring this project together: a love for the music, and chance meetings at area jams and festivals that became friendships, and musical collaboration. Now in its 5th year, the band has demonstrated its experience and versatility at shows ranging from harvest and farm days, to weddings, nightclubs, coffeehouses, corporate events, private parties, and various New England area festivals and fundraisers.
The band has just finished and released its debut, original12-song CD (available for download purchase
at CD Baby) and is looking forward to playing in Wakefield, and especially for the Lindentree Coffeehouse audience!
