David Massengill   and  Gail Rundlett
Click artist/group name to link to websites

David Massengill has written songs recorded and sung by artists including  Joan Baez, Dave Van Ronk, the Roches, Nanci Griffith, David Bromberg,  and Shawn Colvin.. Noted for his mountain ballad style story songs accompanied on an Edsel Martin dulcimer, he is also a storyteller of charm and wit. Dave Van Ronk once said of David "he took the dull out of dulcimer." His tribute to the songs of Dave Van Ronk entitled "Dave On Dave" is scheduled for a September 2007 release on Gadfly Records.

Gail Rundlett is one of the real treasures of Boston’s thriving folk community. Blessed with a voice that exhibits crystalline purity, honesty and heart-touching soul, she is an endearing and entertaining performer. Gail plays guitar and four-string Appalachian dulcimer and draws her repertoire from both traditional and contemporary sources. “Her choice of material is in line with many great interpreters of folk music who choose great songs and then sing the hell out of them,” said Dick Pleasants of WGBH-FM. A Boston Globe writer has described her as “…one of the best ballad singers I’ve ever heard!”
